The name
名前
Doko (どこ) is the Japanese word for where. It's the question you ask yourself in the aisle when you can't remember what you came in for — and the question this app quietly answers for you.
どこ
A quiet shopping companion. Jot down what you need, and doko shows you only the items sold at the store you're walking past.
使い方
Type what you need and hit return. Comma-separated lists split themselves. No taxonomy work, no categorizing — doko figures it out.
Walk past a store, tap one button. doko works out what that shop sells — from groceries and pharmacies to jewelers, hardware, and specialty shops — and shows only the items you can grab there. When a place is too generic to read, it simply shows your whole list rather than guessing wrong.
On Apple Watch, raise your wrist and check items off as you find them. Anything you don't catch stays on the list for next time.
Lives on your iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Watch. Adds and checkoffs sync across every device through your own iCloud — nothing leaves your account.

プライバシー
Effective June 4, 2026.
doko is built to keep your shopping list private. Here's what that means in practice.
That's it. There is no account, no profile, no advertising identifier.
Your list is stored on your device and in your own iCloud Private Database, accessed only by you through Apple's iCloud service. The app's developer cannot see, query, or access your list. Apple's iCloud terms apply to how that data is stored on Apple's servers.
When you tap What's Here?, doko asks iOS for your current location, then queries Apple Maps for stores within roughly 250 feet of that point. Your location is used once per tap to make that lookup — it is not logged, stored, or sent anywhere by doko. The Maps query goes to Apple under Apple's privacy practices.
When you add an item doko doesn't recognize from its built-in dictionary — or when it needs to work out what a nearby store sells from its name — it asks Apple's on-device language model. This runs entirely on your device. The text is not sent to any server.
Items stay until you delete them. Purchased items are automatically cleared two days after you mark them done. Deleting the app removes all local data. To remove the iCloud copy, sign into Settings › Apple ID › iCloud › Manage Storage › doko on any of your devices.
doko is not directed at children under 13. It collects no personal information from anyone.
